Placing an ad for sale in our publication is quick and easy to do online! Before getting started, read below to find information on the most commonly asked questions. How do I place an ad?

If I want to mail or Email you a photo, how big does the photo need to be? What resolution?
 
Mailed photos should be at least 2 inches by 3 inches. Since we will be scanning your photo, the sharper it isand the better the contrast between your vehicle and the background in the photo the better your ad will appearin the magazine.
E-mailed photos and photos delivered on disk should be at least 2 inches by 3 inches and 170 dpi. The filesize should not be larger than 200k ( maximum 1M ). The file should be JPG or TIFF format. We do not accept anyother file format.
If the photo is being e-mailed it must be included as an attachment. Please do not embed the photo in the text ofthe message or attach a document with an imported photo or a link to where your photo is located.



What should I say in my ad?
 
Start by listing the Year, Make, Model and Trim/Package. These three items make up the header of your ad and willbe displayed in bold. After that, a typical ad may be arranged as follows: ( The information in bold is highlyrecommended based on feedback from our readers. )
  • Engine type and/or size (4cyl, V8, 327 Chevy, etc.)
  • Type of transmission (5spd or automatic)
  • Option list (pw, pl, AC, stereo, etc.)
  • Color (exterior and interior, including interior material such as leather, cloth)
  • Miscelaneous comments such as running condition, maintenance records, etc.
  • Mileage, Price and Phone Number
  • VIN (is currently not required for this office's use)
A phone number with area code is required for the ad to run.
Sample Ad:1992 ACURA INTEGRA GL COUPE - 4cyl, auto, pw, pl, pwr moonroof, AC, cruise, tilt, red with black cloth int, am/fm/cass,12 disc CD changer, great cond, 87K miles, $3500, 612-555-1234.
The above ad description is 30 words.
The ad size you select determines the maximum number of words allowed in your ad. You may use abbreviations toinclude more data in your ad. For example, 'power windows' counts as two words while 'pw' counts as one.



What goes in the Trim/Package field?
 
The Trim/Package is the option group that you buy from the dealer to enhance or upgrade your vehicle from thestandard offering. It usually has a name such as XLT, GT, Eddie Bauer Edition, Silverado, etc. It alsoincludes descriptions of the vehicle body, drive options, cab and bed upgrades such as 4x4, 2WD, ExtendedCab,SuperCab, long bed, convertible, etc.
